Cotswold party-goers and planners can look forward to the launch of Cirencester's newest social meeting space – The Stable Bar at The Golden Cross. Whilst most publicans would call in local painters and decorators for a refurb, Golden Cross landlord Mark Lindesay has instead turned to one of his regular customers, top designer - Gary Birks.

Over the past few months the pub's old skittle alley has been totally revamped, turning the once under-used space into a new, dynamic, multi-function hub – The Stable Bar - offering a variety of options for local customers.

The venue has been transformed with the help of two local designers – Gary Birks of and Bethany Rose Interiors, both of whom have offered their advice and consultancy to create an inspiring space which is brighter, lighter and far more inviting than the skittle alley of old.

"Gary's advice was inspirational and I am very pleased with the outcome," says Mark Lindesay. "He worked closely with a new, local interior design firm, Bethany Rose Interiors, and the result has been to create what I believe is one of the best meeting spaces I have seen."

With multiple functionality, the new-look Stable Bar is able to host events ranging from weddings, private parties, birthdays, corporate events and more. With its sporting theme, featuring prints and pictures of countryside pursuits adorning the previously tired, grey walls, the Stable Bar also boasts three large-screen TVs, which will be showing live sporting events via Sky Sports and BT Sport.

With the sporting enthusiast in mind, Mark has also introduced a new menu for the room, featuring pizzas ands paninis – the perfect fodder for an afternoon's sports action.

With the Christmas season fast approaching, party-planners might like to check out the Stable Bar for themselves.
